The ice-climbing Mecca par excellence in Europe. A trip to the land of trolls, e.g. to Ruijkan or Hemsedal, can never be wrong.
Even with rather bad conditions you will find enough climbable ice. In Ruijkan, for example, there are over 170 different waterfalls in top conditions within 10 km! There is for sure something for everyone. 4000 km of south-north extension. There's always something.
Flight to Oslo and then towards Ruijkan by rental car. There we make ourselves comfortable in a log cabin and relax in the sauna. In Norway, self-cooking is more or less a tradition. In the shops you can find the best food for it, especially the salmon! Which is then prepared in different variations.
In the evening the equipment will be checked, and off we are the next day. In the Upper Gorge, the best single-pitch tours offer the perfect introduction to Norwegian ice.
Little by little our goals become bigger and bigger until we are ready to master some classics like the Juvsyla WI5 + 200m. There are even waterfalls up to 17 pitches long.

Upper Gorge offers the best training options for this. What you learn is then put into practice at the numerous natural waterfalls. On request, the rescuing technique course can also be carried out.
